Former Calpurnia band members Malcolm Craig and Finn Wolfhard of Stranger Things have shared a new tune as the Aubreys. It's the title track from their upcoming debut studio album, Karaoke Alone, which is due to arrive on November 5.
Written and recorded during lockdown, the pair traded voice memos and texts to conceptualize the album, later meeting up in person to record with Twin Peaks' Cadien Lake James and Colin Croom and Andrew Humphreys.
"While recording we experimented with a lot of new and old sounds, but we went in with no expectations other than to have fun and make a wicked album," Wolfhard and Craig said in a statement [via Rolling Stone]. "And we think we succeeded."
While we've yet to see an official tracklist, earlier this year the band shared a new single "No Offerings," following the release of their horror movie-themed video for "Smoke Bomb." Karaoke Alone follows their first official EP Soda & Pie, which arrived last year.
