Actor Finn Wolfhard has had a prolific music career, starting out with Calpurnia and more recently making garage pop as one half of the Aubreys. Now, he has announced plans for a solo album.

"I'm in the midst of finding a label and putting out a solo album under my name," he told The Hollywood Reporter. "So that'll come out next year, and I'm really excited about it. It’s a little noisier with more rock and lo-fi stuff that I recorded all on tape."

He noted that, even as he goes solo, the Aubreys will remain an active band. He explained, "The Aubreys will always be around. It will always be a project with me and Malcolm [Craig]."

Last year, Wolfhard spoke with Exclaim! about his music career, saying, "I'm finding my own way of using music as a breeding ground for creativity."
