Down have gotten, well, downright creepy with their latest video release behind last year's Down IV – Part II. This time around, Phil Anselmo and the rest of the doom metal crew are flirting with occult imagery and a whole lot of gore in the horror-mining clip for "Conjure."
Despite being one of Down's newer songs, the grainy film stock gives the clip a vintage feel. Band-wise, the clip presents the group performing the sludgey, Sabbath-inspired song in an open field at night, lit by the flames of a couple pyres.
An additional narrative explores mausoleums and hallowed grounds, with certain characters becoming possesed by dark forces. Down below, you'll see bloody, gut-wrenching battles, ritualistic sacrifices and the constant staining of clothes.
