Destination: Oblivion

Destination: Oblivion have established a pattern of alternating full-length albums and remix CDs over the band’s relatively brief existence — Larvae is one of the latter. It comes as no surprise then that the six-song record is very danceable at times, although the track list includes some laidback material as well as more experimental electronic music and a few heavy guitar riffs. Larvae’s diversity and the collaborative nature of the remix process make the EP more of a sampler than an album, a glimpse across Destination: Oblivion’s impressive range rather than an exploration of their core sound.
