Desaparecidos Cancel Tour After Conor Oberst Hospitalized

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Oct 28, 2015

Reunited punk group Desaparecidos have had to cancel the remainder of their U.S. fall tour, as band leader Conor Oberst was taken to hospital last night (October 27) over symptoms of exhaustion.

The act issued a statement today (October 28) explaining that Oberst has since been released, but was admitted to a Jacksonville, FL hospital last night following the band's performance at the Underbelly. He had apparently been affected by "laryngitis, anxiety and exhaustion."

An update from the outfit reads: "In consultation with his doctors, the band has reluctantly agreed to cancel all scheduled live dates. Conor will be heading home to Omaha to recuperate. We wish him a speedy recovery."

Desaparecidos had been on the road supporting their recent Payola album, their first in 13 years.

Down below, you'll find the list of axed performances, which also includes a solo show from Oberst. Refunds will be available at point of purchase. It's unclear if the act will make up the dates at a later time.
