Desaparecidos

"City on the Hill" (live on 'Meyers')

Conor Oberst recently revived his punk project Desaparecidos, and they released their first album in 13 years when Payola dropped earlier this week. To mark the occasion, the band stopped by Late Night with Seth Meyers last night (June 24) to perform "City on the Hill."

Oberst seems to have taken hairstyling cues from Ryan Adams, churning out the angsty political tune from behind a mop of unkempt hair. His outfit, meanwhile, resembles that of an anarchistic 14-year-old thanks to some ripped jeans and a T-shirt with "Eat the rich" stencilled across the chest.

It's nevertheless a rousing performance that literally shines a spotlight on every member of the band, and you can watch them run through "City on the Hill" in the player below.

Payola is out now on Epitaph.
