Sum 41 are calling it quits after a final performance at the JUNO Awards this weekend, and frontman Deryck Whibley has unveiled his next project: he's launching a brand of socks.
The brand is called Walking Disaster, meaning that it shares a name with his recent memoir, Walking Disaster: My Life Through Heaven and Hell.
He soft-launched the brand on Instagram back in December 2024, when he shared a brand logo along with the words "coming soon."
He did a slightly more theatrical unveiling this week (March 25), when he shared a video of his rehearsal routine, which involves doing cardio while singing along to the entire Sum 41 set. He wrote in the caption, "On top of this, I'm testing out a prototype pair of my new @walkingdisaster Socks! (Coming Soon)."
In the clip, he is wearing a pair of black and white socks without shoes.
Stay tuned for more info about Walking Disaster's official launch date, as well as his other post-Sum 41 plans. Read Exclaim!'s newly published ranking of the band's discography here.
