If you're a massive David Bowie fan who's always wanted to join a book club, you're in luck, as the "Bowie Book Club" has just been launched by the late icon's son Duncan Jones.
The project comes in the wake of a list published in 2013 that laid out Bowie's top 100 books, with said list now outlining the planned reads for club members.
In the announcement, Jones — who has a day job as the filmmaker behind such movies as Moon and Source Code — had this to say:

I've been feeling a building sense of duty to go on the same literary marathon in tribute to dad. Time allowing... #Read-ItBig'nsTheBrain Duncan Jones @ManMadeMoon Dec 27 Alright gang! Anyone who wants to join along, we are reading Peter Ackroyd's "Hawksmoor," as an amuse cerveau before we get into the heavy stuff. You have until Feb 1.
As you can see, the club is an informal one and anyone can join. The resulting book club discussions will presumably go down with Jones via Twitter, and you have until February 1 to complete the club's first book, Peter Aykroyd's 1985 detective novel Hawksmoor.
Other books included on Bowie's favourites list that could soon be part of the book club include A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess, As I Lay Dying by William Faulkner, Inside The Whale And Other Essays by George Orwell, The Stranger by Albert Camus, Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov and The Sailor Who Fell From Grace with the Sea by Yukio Mishima, among many others.
