When Dan Mangan performed solo in Toronto earlier this year, he told the crowd that he would return later in 2023 for a full-band tour. That tour has now been announced.
The Going Somewhere Tour — a play on the title of his new album, Being Somewhere — runs through the fall, bringing Mangan to cities from coast to coast. All told, he's got 29 Canadian shows booked before the end of the year.
Shows in the western part of the country are with Gabrielle Shonk, and ones farther east are with Aysanabee. See the schedule below. He's also got a hometown Vancouver date opening for Vance Joy.
Mangan promises to play songs from throughout his career, and fans can text requests to him directly at (310) 347-4597 (and be sure to use the word "request" in the text, for keyword search purposes). Perhaps request one of Mangan's own five favourite songs from his catalogue?
A ticket presale begins on Wednesday (April 12) at 10 a.m. local time with the password "ALLMYPEOPLE." Tickets go on sale generally on Friday (April 14).
