Dallas Green and Sarah Harmer Will Pay Tribute to Gord Downie at the Junos

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Feb 28, 2018

In addition to being nominated for a handful of awards this year, the late Gord Downie will be honoured with a special performance during this year's Juno Awards.

Dallas Green of City and Colour and Alexisonfire will team up with Sarah Harmer for a tribute to the beloved Tragically Hip frontman, who passed away last October.

"The last time I performed at the Juno Awards in Vancouver, Gord was standing by my side singing with me," Green said in a statement. "This performance will be with a heavy heart, but also a very proud and honoured one. Gord was the gold standard and everything that I hope to be."

The Junos will take place at Rogers Place in Vancouver on March 25. The ceremony will be hosted by Michael Bublé and broadcasted on CBC.

As previously reported, Jessie Reyez, Daniel Caesar and Arcade Fire will also perform during the show. Hedley was originally slated to appear, but their performance was cancelled in the wake of sexual misconduct allegations and the band has since withdrawn from award contention.
