Despite the onslaught of talent and ability that had graced Metal Blade's beguiling showcase up to this point, few were prepared for the riff-laden imposition of Vancouver's Bison B.C. Having just recorded their third and most impressive effort, Dark Ages, and currently following it up with relentless touring, they are at a creative and technical peak, displaying comfortable showmanship and the sonic girth to back it up. Witnessing this outfit take over the crowd was like being privy to a coming of age, as they stepped into a new level that will surely place them into an international context. Here's hoping they maintain the current temperament that makes them as brotherly as they are explosive.
