Chelsea Wolfe

"Carrion Flowers" (video)

A few weeks have passed since Chelsea Wolfe first teased the audio of her white noise-spiked Abyss single, "Carrion Flowers." Now, a set of visuals have been delivered that are just as disorienting as the track it supports.

The black and white clip was directed by Wolfe and collaborator Ben Chisholm. As you'll see down below, the chaotic boom of bass distortion is synched up to the sight of inky hurricanes, a drip of liquid crossing an outdoor scene, and various face-obscuring animations. Throughout, we find Wolfe cocooned in silk, or stalking minimal desert and mountain ranges.

What does it all mean? You'll have to judge for yourself by giving the video a peep down below.

As previously reported, listeners can dive into the Abyss August 7, via Sargent House. Wolfe kicks off a tour in support of the album later in the summer. You'll find all of the show details over here.
