Earlier this week, Charli XCX revealed plans to write and record a new album while in quarantine, and ahead of releasing How I'm Feeling Now, the pop innovator has shared a first song from the effort.
"Forever" finds Charli focused on intimacy issues only compounded by the pandemic, singing, "I'm so far away / Sometimes I'm distant / You might help me / Intimacy / I'll admit I'm scared."
You can hear the song below.
As previously reported, Charli has planned to let fans contribute to the creative process for How I'm Feeling Now via Zoom meetings and texts.
Yesterday (April 8), she shared a clip of an outro for "Forever" from PC Music head A. G. Cook on Instagram. Additionally, the single arrives with three different pieces of cover art, two of which you can find below.
Last year, Charli XCX released her Charli album.
