Brian Eno Scoring Film About German Designer Dieter Rams

BY Josiah HughesPublished Feb 28, 2018

Decades into his career, Brian Eno remains ridiculously prolific. In 2017 alone, he released his Reflection LP and managed to collaborate with both My Bloody Valentine and Coldplay. This year looks no different — Eno has announced his first project, which is a film score.

Specifically, Eno has contributed music to Rams, a new film from director Gary Hustwit (known for Helvetica and the Wilco doc I Am Trying to Break Your Heart, among others).

The film explores the life and legacy of Dieter Rams, an industrial designer whose work inspired Apple's minimalist designs. Though Rams doesn't have a release date just yet, it will arrive this year.

Watch three clips from the film below, all of which feature Eno's compositions.
