The title to BC bangers Black Wizard's just-released New Waste LP is a hard-partying pun on their hometown of New Westminster, but the band will be bringing the set's mix of barrel-chested boogie and muck-slinging riffage across Canada come June.
It had been reported earlier in the year that Black Wizard will be teaming up with Portland's Red Fang and shaggy Vancouverites Bison for a few West Coast dates in April. Now, a post on the group's Facebook page confirms a cross-Canada trip with fellow Lower Mainland outfit Dead Quiet, which features ex and current members of Barn Burner and Anciients.
The late spring trek kicks off in Victoria and will find the acts cutting across the Prairies and Central Canada before touching down in the Maritimes. They'll boomerang back for more shows in the land-locked provinces before closing out the tour at Vancouver's Fortune Sound Club on June 29.
