Portland metal makers Red Fang are getting ready to jump into the studio to track the follow-up to their burly and brain-bashing 2013 release, Whales and Leeches, and it's looking like they may well preview some of the new tunes on the road this spring. A clutch of tour dates with Vancouver metal crews Bison and Black Wizard take place this April.
The band do have a pair of U.S. shows coming up next week, with a press release explaining that they'll team up with producer Ross Robinson (At the Drive In, the Cure) to track their as-yet-untitled fourth LP by the end of the month. Mixing will be handled by Joe Barresi (Queens of the Stone Age, Kyuss, Melvins, Tool).
After presumably wrapping recording sessions, they take off for a quick trip along the West Coast in April. By the time they cross into Canada, they'll play dates in BC with local brutalizers Bison and Black Wizard, the latter of which supporting their about-to-be released New Waste collection.
While very little information exists behind Red Fang's impending LP, the record is expected to drop this fall via Relapse Records.
