Canadian rock heroes Arkells already delayed their Hamilton "Rally" until 2022, but it's not all bad news for fans of the band. They have just announced their return to the stage for "Arkells Long Weekend," a two-night stand at Toronto's Budweiser Stage.
The shows take place this summer on August 13 and 14. Toronto rapper Haviah Mighty will open both nights. The all-ages shows will be reduced capacity, in accordance with provincial regulations.
UPDATE (7/15, 4:20 p.m. ET): Arkells have added a third date on August 15.
Arkells frontman Max Kerman said in a statement, "It's been a long haul, but we kept telling ourselves to be patient — when shows come back, we're going to do it big, and we're going to do it right. This event is billed as a long-weekend because it'll feel like a celebration that we've yearned to have together. There's no better place for it."
Tickets go on sale this Friday (July 16) at 10 a.m. A Spotify fan-first pre-sale begins on Wednesday (July 14) at 10 a.m.
Arkells will release their new album, Blink Once, on September 30.
