This is the type of music that teenagers put on when they want to dance around while they clean up. This is bubbly, psych-tinged pop music coming straight out of a different generation, played by kids born well after the fact. If you can get over the fact that The Last Match is basically a rehashing of all your old mod records, the Aislers Set is for you. Clanging tambourines and treble-soaked Rickenbackers eventually meet up with sugary melody lines coming from the mouths of dreamy hipster boys and cute indie rock girls, giving you exactly what you're looking for in vintage pop. You can't help feeling like you've heard it all before, but I'll be damned if that prevents you from cutting a rug in the privacy of your own bedroom.
