Even the folks behind the hit Netflix series Stranger Things couldn't predict the strangeness afoot in 2020, meaning the show was forced to pause production on its fourth season due to the coronavirus. The break has proven fruitful, however, as the Duffer Brothers were able to map out just how much more time they want with the show.
The directing duo revealed that they plan to keep the show going in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter that has strangely since been removed from their site.
"Season 4 won't be the end," Ross Duffer reportedly told THR [via TV Line, who captured the quote]. "We know what the end is, and we know when it is. [The coronavirus pandemic] has given us time to look ahead, figure out what is best for the show. Starting to fill that out gave us a better idea of how long we need to tell that story."
Since halting production on Season 4, Stranger Things star Gaten Matarazzo was spotted working as a food runner at a Long Beach restaurant.
