Everyone's favourite death tournament series is officially returning for Season 2. Hwang Dong-hyuk has finally confirmed that Squid Game will be getting another chapter.

"There's been so much pressure, so much demand, and so much love for a second season, so I almost feel like you leave us no choice!" Hwang told the Associated Press [via Variety].

The writer-director did not offer any details about when or how Season 2 would arrive, but promised that lead character "Gi-hun [Lee Jung-jae] will be back and he'll do something for the world." Netflix has yet to confirm the news.

Season 1 of the record-breaking streaming series hit Netflix back in September, and has gone on to become the platform's largest series launch ever, inspiring skyrocketing sales of white vans, as well as, inexplicably, the Toronto real estate market.
