Seth Rogen Is Making His Own 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' Movie

No, that's not an official still from the movie

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have yet to claim their reign in the modern movie sphere, thanks in no small part to a pair absolute stinkers from Michael Bay. Fortunately, we're finally getting a TMNT movie that will be worth checking out — and it's coming from Seth Rogen.

While we'd love to see something along the lines of the mock-up we Photoshopped above, the film will actually be fully animated. As Deadline reports, it's being created as a collaboration between Nickelodeon and Point Grey Pictures, the production company belonging to Rogen and his writing and producing partner Evan Goldberg.

The film will be directed by Gravity Falls writer Jeff Rowe and written by Neighbors screenwriter Brendan O'Brian.

"Adding Seth, Evan and James' genius to the humour and action that's already an integral part of TMNT is going to make this a next-level reinvention of the property," said Brian Robbins of ViacomCBS. "I'm looking forward to see what they do, and I know that Ramsey Naito and her team are excited to take the Nick Animation Studio into another great direction with their first-ever CG-animated theatrical."

Stay tuned for more info on the movie as it becomes available.
