The O.C. co-stars Rachel Bilson and Melinda Clarke — who played the show's Summer and Julie, respectively — posted the first episode of their brand new rewatch podcast Welcome to the OC, Bitches! earlier today, and later revealed they would be on board to reboot the teen drama series — nearly 20 years after its television debut.
The pair interviewed each other for ET in celebration of the pod launch and fielded questions about their favourite episodes, the show's cringe-worthy early 2000s outfits and getting the cast back together for a reunion.
"I know we talked about definitely getting together personally, as a reunion... all of us getting together," Bilson said. "I think we have spoken to some already, everyone's on board for that."
She added: "But a reboot would be awesome. I think that's in the hands of [creators and executive producers] Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage. There's still a ways to go, so maybe they'll figure it out! That'd be fun."
Clarke added: "Never say never!"
Bilson admitted that she has started to feel "emotional and nostalgic" about her time on the show, explaining, "We were all going through it together and we really did love each other and we were so fortunate to have such an amazing group."
The first episode of the pair's new Kast Media podcast guest features series creator Josh Schwartz. Peter Gallagher — a.k.a. Sandy Cohen — is due to appear in an upcoming episode.
