If there's one buzz word that makes an awful lot of sense in 2021, it's the act of becoming "Jokerfied." Sure, Todd Phillips' Joker was neither as edgy nor interesting as it purported to be, but it did help us understand the exact feeling of going full Joker mode. And now Emma Stone has become Jokerfied in a Disney way.
The 101 Dalmations character Cruella de Vil has always boasted an iconic look and remained a fan favourite, so it's almost surprising that it's taken this long for her to get her own movie. Maybe it's best we waited, however, because director Craig Gillespie pulled straight from the Joker handbook for the new flick.
The result is something that looks delightfully edgy and campy. Hell, we can't wait to get Cruellafied when Disney releases the movie on May 28 (in theatres, somehow).
