Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is releasing his very own energy drink. The wrestler, actor, COVID-19 survivor and entrepreneur revealed he will enter the energy drink game with ZOA — a drink made with both caffeine and superfoods.
The venture finds Johson teaming up with his ex-wife and fellow fitness entrepreneur Dany Garcia, Garcia's husband Dave Rienzi and John Shulman, who have inked a deal with Molson Coors Beverage Company to distribute ZOA.
"I'm humbled and grateful for the opportunity to serve our eager consumers with ZOA — the ultimate healthy and immunity-supporting energy drink that's the first of its kind, thanks to our unique combination of ingredients," Johnson said in a statement. "My co-founders and I spent the last 18 months formulating this healthy and great tasting product that we could all use now more than ever."
Previously, Johnson released his own brand of tequila called Teremana Tequila, but he's set to enter a seriously crowded marketplace when it comes to the energy drink. But according to Molson Coors, ZOA will be the only energy drink that fuels you with the recommended daily amount of vitamin C, D and B.
Molson Coors explained the following of the drink:
It is positioned as an above-premium, better-for-you energy drink that contains natural ingredients such as turmeric, camu camu and acerola cherry. It contains vitamins C, D and B, added electrolytes and amino acids, and it is made with caffeine derived from green tea and unroasted coffee beans. ZOA is made without preservatives, artificial ingredients or additives.
ZOA is expected to start hitting shelves in March, and it will be available in five flavours. You can learn more here.
