David Warner — the English actor known for his performances in The Omen, Titanic, Tron and more — has died at 80 years old after a battle with cancer.
Warner's family confirmed the news to the BBC, sharing that the actor "approached his diagnosis with a characteristic grace and dignity,"
"He will be missed hugely by us, his family and friends, and remembered as a kind-hearted, generous and compassionate man, partner and father, whose legacy of extraordinary work has touched the lives of so many over the years. We are heartbroken," the statement continued.
Born in 1941 and making his stage debut in a 1962 production of A Midsummer Night's Dream, the actor became known for playing villains in shows like 1978's Holocaust, 1981's Masada, a 1992 two-part arc on Star Trek: The Next Generation and more.
He starred in films like The Omen, Tron, Titanic, and Planet of the Apes, most recently appearing in 2018's Mary Poppins Returns.
