Between Uncut Gems and the forthcoming HustleAdam Sandler's love of basketball is plainly apparent, but it's hard to forget his turn in the golf world with 1996's Happy Gilmore. To celebrate the film's 25th anniversary, Sandler has picked up the clubs to prove he can hasn't lost his swing over a quarter century later.

On Twitter today, Sandler shared a clip of himself set up on a nice patch of green to take his drive, telling viewers "It's been 25 years since I've done this. Let's see what happens."

Dedicating his swing to his onscreen rival Shooter McGavin (Christopher McDonald), Sandler takes a few steps forward (in basketball shows, no less) to smash the ball cleanly off the tee. "Happy loves you all!" he wrote in an accompanying caption. "Thanks for everything!"
A pair of Sandler's Happy Gilmore co-stars soon joined in his celebration. Ben Stiller, who played the role of the abusive nursing home orderly watching over Gilmore's grandmother, wrote in character, "That's a beautiful swing Mr. Gilmore. Congrats on your anniversary, and being such a loving grandson. So happy to be a small part of taking good care of her during her 'golden years.'" Even more surprising was McDonald reprising his role as Shooter McGavin in a video shared through a popular Twitter account based around his Happy Gilmore character. In it, he imparts sage golf advice, "drive for show, putt for the dough," before sinking a stroke in his living room, thanking viewers for 25 years and leaving them with his classic finger gun celebration.
Last year, it was reported that Sandler would head to space in a new sci-fi film for Netflix.
