Elon Musk is calling on his Twitter followers to help him prepare for his upcoming Saturday Night Live hosting gig.

The Tesla CEO tweeted over the weekend: "Throwing out some skit ideas for SNL. What should I do?"

Musk offered up a few ideas of his own, including "Irony Man – defeats villains using the power of irony," "woke James Bond" and "Baby Shark & Shark Tank merge to form Baby Shark Tank," before his followers sounded off in the replies.

While some of Musk's followers shared their genuine ideas, many took the opportunity to dogpile the controversial billionaire for his business practices and past transgressions.

"Man receives fortune from parents South African emerald mine, uses it to invent exploding car," one user wrote.

"Someone delivers valid criticism aimed at a fraudster billionaire, but then a weird nerd dramatically jumps in to try and prevent this," wrote another.

The decision to cast Musk in this week's SNL episode has been controversial, to say the least. Last week, his partner Grimes had to come to Musk's defence and several SNL cast members voiced their disapproval of his participation. Bowen YangAidy Bryant and Andrew Dismukes all made their distaste for the casting decision clear.

It was later revealed that producer Lorne Michaels would not force anyone to work with the controversial tech bro if they don't feel like it.

Musk's SNL episode will air this Saturday (May 8) with Miley Cyrus performing as the show's musical guest.
