Yesterday morning, Zach Bryan dropped a new song called "This World's a Giant" amid his breakup with Brianna LaPaglia (a.k.a. Brianna Chickenfry) and subsequent beef with Barstool Sports head Dave Portnoy (in what is probably the lamest rough 'n' tumble country music scandal of all time).

Turns out that wasn't the end of it — late last night, Bryan released another song called "High Road," and things took a darker turn as LaPaglia is now accusing Bryan of emotional abuse, claiming that his team asked her to sign a $12M USD NDA.

LaPaglia talked about their breakup on her Barstool podcast BFFs, claiming that Bryan had made other ex-girlfriends sign similar agreements.

"I would have gotten the money over the course of three years," LaPaglia said. "I would have had to sign all of my experiences, everything that I am, away to this person. They would have been monitoring everything that I do."

She continued:

That was his final shot at still controlling me and controlling my life, with that money and with him being able to walk away like, "I did a good thing, I gave her all this money, who cares about everything I did? She's gonna have cash in the bank." You don't just get to dump and shit on people for a year, give them millions of dollars, and walk away like, "I'm the hero. She's gonna be taken care of for life." I'm gonna be taken care of regardless because I'm me.

The last year of my life has been like the hardest year of my life dealing with the abuse from this dude. I'm still scared right now because I'm scared of him. My brain's rewired and I'm scared to make him mad.

She closed the conversation by saying, "There was always another excuse as to why he was treating me so poorly and why I'm crying myself to sleep every night, why he's screaming at me. And then you wake up, it's the apology, it's the 'I'm going to be better, I need you in my life.'"
