If your TikTok algorithm is as obsessed with the Brianna Chickenfry saga as mine is, you might also not be seeing Zach Bryan in such a great light right now. Still, that's no excuse to perpetuate the cycle of (alleged) abuse by throwing shit at him!
Just when everybody thought the #YeetBeat was mercifully dying down, concertgoers in the year 2024 refuse to take the high road: the singer-songwriter had to pause not one, but two shows on his Quittin Time Tour this week over fans lobbing objects at him.
The first incident occurred in Tacoma, WA, with an unidentified flying entity being thrown in Bryan's direction. It didn't hit him, but he still took the opportunity to call out the person who threw it. "Who was it? Does anyone know?" the artist asked, adding, "Don't throw shit at concerts."
But did the people listen? Of course not. When Bryan took the stage on Wednesday (November 27) in Portland, OR, yet another attendee decided it was a good idea to throw something at the performer while he was in the middle of playing "Tourniquet" from his 2023 self-titled album. This time, the object was more identifiable: a can of Zyn nicotine pouches.
"Let's not be dicks, huh?" Bryan remarked before tossing the can aside and continuing on with the show. You're at the Quittin Time Tour, my guy!
Again, revelations of late may indicate that Bryan is problematic (to say the least), but it's very poor concert etiquette to be pelting musicians — who are indeed people — with stuff while they're trying to do their jobs. Please rinse and repeat this gospel to the younger generations, because apparently it bears it.
