While Monotonix member Yonatan Gat was already planning to hit clubs across North America this spring with Deerhoof and Of Montreal, the Israeli rocker has added a number of solo dates to help further promote his upcoming Director LP.
Following a record release party in Brooklyn on March 3, the same day the album hits retailers via Joyful Noise, he'll take off on a U.S. trek with Of Montreal and Deerhoof. Eventually, Gat splinters off from the pack to tackle a batch of headlining performances. The most recent adds to his itinerary have him crossing into Canada for shows in Sudbury, Toronto and Hamilton.
You'll find all of the details behind Gat's upcoming travels down below.
As for Director, Gat's follow-up to last year's Iberian Passage EP, it's described as a collection of "punk-inspired, improvisational, psychedelic mind-melters." The 11-song set was culled from hours of improvised sessions tracked with producer Chris Woodhouse (Ty Segall, Thee Oh Sees).
You'll find a stream of the set's "North and South" down below.
