YG can't seem to stay out of trouble. The rapper has been arrested on a misdemeanor DUI according to a TMZ report.
YG was reportedly arrested after police found him outside his car on Tuesday (October 1) morning in Burbank, CA. He was subsequently booked for a misdemeanour DUI after a blood sample was taken. The rapper "displayed objective symptoms of alcohol intoxication," according to police, per the Los Angeles Times.
In a photo taken by TMZ at the scene of the arrest, YG, whose rap name stands for Young Gangsta, is seen sitting on the curb a few feet away from his car which has been driven onto the pedestrian sidewalk.
This is not the rapper's first (or second) offence involving a vehicle; he was cited for alleged reckless driving in West Hollywood in 2019. In July of the same year, YG was linked to a shootout-turned-pursuit from Compton to Inglewood as he was found to be the registered owner of the SUV involved.
YG was also arrested for robbery in 2020, though the case was later dismissed.
In a statement to TMZ, YG's lawyer, Joe Tacopina, said he's gathering more information on YG's arrest and that his main concern is for his client's health and wellbeing.
