This wonderfully shot concert film succeeds in capturing all the energy of the Who during this astoundingly creative period in their career. Roughly a year after the release of Tommy and a year before the monumental Whos Next, this 85-minute set draws heavily from the former record, with an abridged performance of the rock opera composing the entire second half. The bands blistering take on songs like "I Cant Explain and "Summertime Blues are made better by the sight of Keith Moons absolute insanity, as he pretends to quit the band mid-set before insisting the entire crowd be silent for the beginning of Tommys overture.
