Turnstile are glowing on as the latest band to record one of NPR's ubiquitous Tiny Desk (Home) Concert performances.
In drummer Daniel Fang's house, the Baltimore outfit played seven songs from their well-loved 2021 album GLOW ON, including "BLACKOUT," "MYSTERY" and "T.L.C. (TURNSTILE LOVE CONNECTION)" — and they did so surrounded by a John Scharbach art installation featuring wall-to-wall stuffed animals.
It's a decidedly comforting, cozy vibe for the provocateurs of genre-fluid hardcore as they blister through their set in the small space, balancing high-intensity bombast and balladic meditations on loneliness.
