Mac DeMarco and Eyedress Go on a Claymation Road Trip in "My Simple Jeep" Video

Mushrooms are a helluva drug

Mac DeMarco might never be able to top his dream collaboration with Ryan Paris, but, nonetheless, he and Eyedress are shaping up to be quite the duo themselves.

Just two months after teaming up on "Dark Prince," Canada's indie boy epitomization and the Filipino multi-hyphenate have joined forces once again on "My Simple Jeep."

Unlike the dynamic production and occasionally frantic melody of the former, the pair's new collaboration taps more into DeMarco's wheelhouse with breezy guitar licks underlying drowsy (in a good way) vocals.

The song comes complete with a fever dream of a music video, directed by previous Flea and Young Thug collaborator Sandy Kim, in which DeMarco and Eyedress star as floating heads overseeing a cardboard highway on which the titular Jeep travels.

Eventually, in a move fitting to the song's decidedly mellow energy, the Jeep goes off-road directly into Eyedress's mouth, where clay versions of the duo take the wheel in a mystical mushroom land — which, yes, kind of sounds like the plot of the Super Mario Bros. Movie.
