Watch Anderson .Paak's Surprise Performance at Toronto's Drom Taberna
He sang his song "Come Down" and drummed on covers

He might've pronounced the forbidden second "T" in Toronto, but Anderson .Paak still deserves to be an honorary Torontonian after he showed up to Drom Taberna to play with a local cover band on Saturday. The R&B star is used to performing in smaller groups as one half of the duo Silk Sonic with Bruno Mars, but he embraced the chaos when he became the temporary 13th member of Shout! the Band.
The 12-piece party band shared a video on TikTok last night (September 24) of .Paak strutting and jiggying his way through the screaming crowd before making his way on stage and getting them even more fired up with the age-old question: "What the fuck is up, Toronto?"

Dressed to the nines in his signature rich stepmom swagger (a fur hat, massive sunglasses and pearls), .Paak led the band in a performance of his 2016 hit "Come Down" before taking a backseat at the drums for several more covers as the night went on.

Shout! the Band have had a busy year performing live at venues across the city and taking part in the Toronto Jazz Fest. Meanwhile, .Paak's appearance at the show comes amidst a short break from releasing music while he focuses on his blossoming film career.
