It's safe to say that current Exclaim! cover stars the Beaches know their way around a cover, having successfully put their spin on anthems like the Cure's "Boys Don't Cry" and Djo's "End of Beginning" in recent times — and now they've added another to their roster.

Over the weekend, the Toronto quartet continued their 2024 festival circuit victory lap at Bonnaroo, performing yesterday (June 16) as well as participating in an emo-themed version of the festival's SuperJam set on Saturday (June 15), hosted this year by the Dashboard Confessional's Chris Carrabba.

As is par for the course, in addition to playing some Dashboard classics, Carrabba and co. invited a bunch of guests to perform some '90s and '00s tracks from the unofficial great emo songbook — including the Beaches, who delivered a rendition of "That's What You Get" from Paramore's landmark 2007 sophomore album Riot!

Like when the Tennessean band themselves performed the hit at their show in the Beaches' hometown last year, the crowd's reaction to the Torontonians' rendition proved that "That's What You Get" packs just as much of a punch as it ever did, although the hearty helping of nostalgia certainly doesn't hurt!

The Emo SuperJam also saw folk-pop trio Trousdale take on Paramore's reclaimed "Misery Business" and Fall Out Boy's "Sugar, We're Goin Down," as well as Andrew McMahon covering Something Corporate and Jimmy Eat World, and more, as per The Tenessean's setlist.
