After dropping hints about a potential new album this summer, Canadian prog-metal troupe Voivod have officially announced plans for a new record titled Synchro Anarchy, which is due to arrive on February 11 via Century Media.

Further details about the band's upcoming 15th studio album, including pre-order information and its lead single, are due to be revealed on Friday, December 10. For now, drummer Michel "Away" Langevin has shared a statement about the forthcoming "collaborative" effort.

He said, "The new album represents countless hours of writing, demoing, recording, mixing and so on. The band and Francis Perron at RadicArt Studio gave their very best to make it happen under unusual circumstances, which led us to call it Synchro Anarchy.

"We feel that the sound and music are 100 percent Voivod, and we hope everyone will enjoy it as much as we had fun making it," Langevin continued. "We certainly can't wait to play it live!"

For now, you can see the album's tracklisting below. Stay tuned next week for more details.

Synchro Anarchy follows last year's Lost Machine - Live and EP The End of Dormancy. Their latest full-length was 2019's The Wake. More recently, Voivod launched a Kickstarter campaign to continue work on their official documentary, We Are Connected.
