After performing for a number of years as Nervous Operator, Vancouver ambient artist Spencer Davis now records as Usd. The project recently issued a six-song cassette called Kola Dubs, and Exclaim! is premiering a senses-disturbing music video for the release's hypnotic "Tired Blood."
The disorientating, digital noise-specializing music video was directed by Katayoon Yousefbigloo (Other Jesus), whose short film traces the day-to-day minutiae of an urbanite. As the cyclical, echo-blown smack of "Tired Blood" courses throughout the piece, we see the young woman get out of bed, vigorously pretend to brush her teeth and do a bit of gardening. Later, she makes her way outside to put some firm thought on a tomato purchase.

The self-described "damaged dub techno" of Usd.'s Kola Dubs is out now via Isla.
