Red Hot Chili Peppers are preparing to drop their new album Unlimited Love on April 1, but fans have received a surprise treat this week thanks to the leak of two unreleased songs, which reportedly come from the same sessions as 2016's The Getaway.
"Kaly" and "Outer Space" both feature prior RHCP guitarist Josh Klinghoffer. They emerged through the fansite RHCP Live Archive, which uploaded them to Twitter.
"Kaly" is a heavier, more energetic track than most of Red Hot Chili Peppers' recent material, with pounding rhythms and a hypnotic bassline that give way to a spacious, melodic chorus. "Outer Space" is slower and more atmospheric, with Klinghoffer's guitars drenched in wobbly effects.
We're not going to post them here, but sufficiently motivated Chili Peppers fans can track them down quite easily. This is the internet, after all.
Unlimited Love's singles "Black Summer" and "Poster Child" are out now. As for Klinghoffer, his new Pluralone album This Is the Show came out today.
