King of twinks Troye Sivan has returned to claim his throne with new single "Rush" (you may have seen it being promoted via his socials for what felt like the past six and a half years) and the announcement of his third studio album Something to Give Each Other, which is arriving October 13 on Capitol Records

"Rush" is another of Sivan's odes to the joys of gay sex (and poppers), and it's a thumping, kinetic dance banger that has a touch of good ol' Village People burliness thanks to its gang of male chants on the chorus.

It comes attached to an NSFW video from Gordon von Steiner that features lots of sweaty bodies, backflips and choreographed kicking.

"'Rush' is the feeling of kissing a sweaty stranger on a dance floor, a two-hour date that turned into a weekend, a crush, a winter, a summer," Sivan said in a statement. "Party after party, after party after after party. All of my experiences from a chapter where I feel confident, free and liberated. Independent, yet somehow the most connected to the music and community around me."

Something to Give Each Other is the full-length follow-up to 2018's Bloom. In 2020, Sivan the In a Dream EP.
