Travis Scott is releasing both an album and a film this week, as the A24 film Circus Maximus arrives in theatres on Thursday (July 27) and the album UTOPIA follows the next day (July 28).

UPDATE (7/25, 3:12 p.m. ET): An A24 representative told Pitchfork that the studio is, in fact, not involved with the film. Scott's team has yet to clarify why the production company's logo appears on the poster for Circus Maximus.

Scott tweeted out both dates today. Circus Maximus features music from UTOPIA, and the trailer can be seen below. The film was directed by Scott himself in collaboration with Gaspar Noé, Nicolas Winding Refn, Harmony Korine, Valdimar Jóhannsson and Kahlil Joseph.

Pitchfork points to a synopsis on AMC's ticket portal, which describes the film like this: "Prepare to enter Circus Maximus as Travis Scott takes his audience on a mind-bending visual odyssey across the globe, woven together by the speaker rattling sounds of his highly anticipated upcoming album UTOPIA. The film is a surreal and psychedelic journey, uniting a collective of visionary filmmakers from around the world in a kaleidoscopic exploration of human experience and the power of soundscapes."

Currently, all of the screenings are at AMC theatres in the US, with further dates and locations TBA. See the currently confirmed screenings here.

Travis Scott released the single "K-POP," featuring the Weeknd and Bad Bunny, last week. It will presumably appear on UTOPIA.

UTOPIA is the follow-up to 2018's Astroworld. It's Scott's first album since the tragic incident at his Astroworld music festival in 2021.
