Toronto's Venus Fest has announced the lineup for its 2024 edition, taking place this September across multiple venues.
Running from September 25 to 28 in downtown Toronto, Venus Fest's eighth edition features a lineup of local and international artists, including claire rousay, Isabella Lovestory, Evicshen, Pantayo player (and Exclaim! Magazine layout editor) Kat Estacio, Karen Ng, rEmPiT g0dDe$$, Ahya Simone and We Turn to Red.
Night one of performances, co-presented with local promoters Not Dead Yet, will bring Claire Rousay, rEmPiT g0dDe$$ (performing a live hardware ambient set) and Karen Ng to the Monarch Tavern.
Venus Fest will then shift to It's Ok* Studios for the following two evenings. Friday, September 27, will welcome Evicshen, Ahya Simone and Kat Estacio to the space, ahead of Saturday, September 28, featuring Isabella Lovestory, rEmPiT g0dDe$$ (performing a DJ set) and We Turn to Red.
In addition to the music, Venus Fest 2024 will feature a free, all-ages A/V installation by artist, curator and scholar Suzanne Morrissette, held at and co-presented by Allan Gardens.
Each evening of Venus Fest 2024 will feature artworks curated by Anique Jordan and the Vazaar Arts Market featuring various local artisans, ASL Music Interpretation by Phoenix the Fire, and a Restorative Zone with curated activities for those in need of a sensory break or pause from the excitement.
Tickets for Venus Fest are priced on a sliding scale, ranging from $20 to $30 a night. Further festival and ticketing details can be found via Venus Fest's official website.
