Last June, Tool cancelled a North American tour behind 2019's Fear Inoculum outright, and a newly-announced run of dates for 2022 shows that Canada is no longer part of their performance plans.
Prior to the cancellation, Tool were due to play in Montreal, Quebec City, Vancouver, Edmonton and Winnipeg following a 2019 show in Toronto, though a new itinerary shows the band skipping Canada entirely, keeping exclusively to the United States and Europe.
As previously reported, Tool made the call to cancel their North American tour last year as they felt they couldn't "ethically" keep fans' money tied up in ticket sales during a global pandemic.
"It is with great pleasure I get to announce our return to the road," drummer Danny Carey said in a statement. "These past 18 months have been trying to say the least but from great trials come great lessons and great rewards. We are genuinely looking forward to sharing them with you."
Tool's 2022 tour, which you can find the itinerary for below, will see Blonde Redhead lend support from January 10 to February 10, while the Acid Helps will open from February 19 to March 20.
Tickets go on sale to the general public Friday (October 1) at 10 a.m. local time, with some exceptions. Complete ticketing details can be found through Tool's official website.
