New York-based producer and solo artist So Wylie has melded the world of birding with electronic music in her new series of bird beats on TikTok.

Sampling calls from various birds including Hermit Thrush, Eastern Screech Owls, Barn Owls and a few other types of owls, So Wylie has perfected a wildlife-inspired new genre, which has revved up birders and music nerds alike.

After going viral among the online birding and wildlife community with her Saw-Whet Owl beat, So Wylie explained that her love of owls has helped her dive into her new calling.

"I'm no birder but I do love owls so much that if I look at them long enough I will cry," the producer explained in a recent video.

She added: "I didn't realize birding Twitter was a thing but it's a thing. They go so hard."

When she's not working on her bird beats, So Wylie produces music for recording artists, podcasts, filmmakers and more.
