When it comes to film soundtracks in 2022, Jack Antonoff threw down the gauntlet last month in tapping Diana Ross, Thundercat, St. Vincent, Phoebe Bridgers, Caroline Polachek and many more for the soundtrack of Minions: The Rise of Gru. Now, a challenger has emerged in the soundtrack to Baz Luhrmann's Elvis Presley biopic, which has roped in a similar amount of star power.
ELVIS (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) arrives June 24 via RCA Records, the same day Luhrmann's film hits theatres. Its 36 tracks, which you can find listed below, are a mix of recordings by the King himself and covers of songs he once recorded from more modern music figures.
Those names include Kacey Musgraves (whose take on "Can't Help Falling in Love" is heard in the film's latest trailer), recent Exclaim! cover star Denzel Curry, Eminem, Doja Cat, CeeLo Green, Rae Sremmurd's Swae Lee, Diplo, Jazmine Sullivan, Yola, Stevie Nicks and Chris Isaak.
