A new documentary highlighting the life and career of June Carter Cash is among this month's new arrivals on Paramount+, and you can now watch the first trailer.
June: The June Carter Cash Story arrives on the streaming platform on January 16. Directed by Kristen Vaurio, it features interviews with the likes of Reese Witherspoon (who played Carter Cash in James Mangold's 2005 film Walk the Line), Kacey Musgraves, Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, Larry Gatlin, Robert Duvall and Ronnie Dunn, all of whom want to remind you that it was Carter Cash who wrote "Ring of Fire."
Born into the household name of the First Family of Country Music, the Carter family, Carter Cash was a force to be reckoned long before her marriage to Johnny Cash. (They first met while she was opening for Elvis Presley.) In addition to her music career, she pursued comedy and acting, and continued as a touring performer after having children, which was highly unconventional at the time.
