Taylor Swift has revealed her 2020 live itinerary in support of Lover, and along with a bunch of European festival dates, it includes her very own festival.
Following headlining slots at the likes of Roskilde, Open'er Festival and Nos Alive, Swift will return to North America to host what's been dubbed Lover Fest.
The shows will be split between Los Angeles and Foxborough, MA, and known as Lover Fest West and Lover Fest East.
The former will feature two back-to-back shows to open L.A.'s brand new SoFi Stadium on July 25 and 26, while the latter will take over the New England Patriots' home field on July 31 and August 1.
Significantly, these will mark Swift's only U.S. dates for 2020, breaking her typical habit of a massive world tour in support of each new album she releases — though she has hinted that additional U.K. and international shows and festivals will be added later.
"For me, the Lover album is open fields and sunsets and SUMMER," Swift wrote in a statement. "I want to celebrate the album and perform it live with you in a way that feels authentic to the music. I want to go to some places I haven't been, and play festivals for the first time in ages...and where we didn't have festivals, we made some."
Openers for the Lover Fests are expected to be announced soon.
