Taking Back Sunday Sign to Hopeless for New LP

Taking Back Sunday Sign to Hopeless for New LP
Long Island post-hardcore band Taking Back Sunday recently issued their TAYF10 Acoustic on their own, but the band's next studio LP will arrive courtesy of new label home Hopeless Records.

A press release confirms that the act's in-the-works follow-up to their 2011 self-titled LP will be their first for Hopeless, and it's expected to drop sometime during the spring of 2014.

As previously reported, the band began writing sessions for the album earlier this year and have been recording at Michigan's Rancho Recordo with producer Marc Jacob Hudson (Saves the Day, the Swellers). Later this month, they'll finish up some songs in Long Island with Mike Sapone (Brand New, O'Brother), who had previously tracked demos behind their 2002 debut Tell All Your Friends.

"We are extremely excited to be a part of the Hopeless Records Family and look forward to working with them," the band's Eddie Reyes revealed in a statement. "I have great respect for the label and the bands they support and we respect how hard they work together. We also can't wait for everyone to hear our new album and we thank them in advance for their help in making that happen."

While concrete details on the album have yet to arrive, U.S. fans may get a sneak peak of some of the new songs during a tour with Polar Bear Club and gigs with Anberlln and Blink-182. You can see the September-to-November show schedule over here.
