Things have not been going so well for once successful rap mogul Suge Knight. In recent years, the notorious label boss has suffered a blood clot, a murder charge and a whole variety of lawsuits. Now, he's filed a salacious lawsuit of his own, claiming that Dr. Dre tried to have him killed.
According to TMZ, Knight claims that Dre has been targeting Knight via hitmen, and Beats by Dre are to blame.
Knight reportedly has a lifetime management deal with Dre that entitles him to 30 percent of all of Dre's earnings. Dre earned approximately $1 billion USD when he sold his headphone company to Apple, meaning he owes Suge Knight a hefty $300 million. Knight believes Dre is trying to have him killed rather than pony up the cash.
The lawsuit first alleges that a nightclub shooting in 2014 was orchestrated by Dr. Dre. The attack, which took place at 1 OAK, saw Knight get shot seven times.
The lawsuit alleges that L.A. police questioned a man named T-Money at the time. The man allegedly told police that Dr. Dre had paid him off to kill Suge.
Then, in 2015, Suge Knight ran over a man named Cle "Bone" Sloan, killing him in the process. Knight claims that Sloan had been paid $300,000 to kill him, and the auto death happened because Knight was trying to flee the scene.
Dr. Dre has not yet commented on the matter.
