After teasing the arrival of an anniversary compilation to mark 15 years online with a string of singles, long-running Toronto music site Different Kitchen has delivered their Quinceañera: Marvelous Ish collection.
To mark the celebration, the compilation fittingly features 15 brand new tracks spanning a variety of genres, shining a light on artists both fresh and familiar from Canada and beyond.
Quinceañera features previously shared singles from Toronto duo OSIYM, Nate Husser of Montreal rap trio the Posterz, and Brooklyn-based Yellow Shoots.
The comp also boasts contributions from West Coast icon Snoop Dogg, D12's Kuniva, Toronto hip-hop mainstay Saukrates, Grand Analog, Tyriqueordie, Matt Fingaz, Chris Rivers, DJ Nana, Lolabunz and more.
"After the success of our 11th anniversary compilation, This One Goes to Eleven... it only made sense to do another one around this important milestone. But only if we could do it bigger and better and I think we've succeeded in doing that," Different Kitchen founder Ian Steaman said in a statement.
"We've got everything from hottest up-and-coming talent right from here in Canada to legendary veterans and artists who've been the best ever at their craft all together on one record. Great music can come from anywhere and that's always been the mission of the blog from jump: to celebrate it, to the very best of our ability always."
